Saksham Scholarship Scheme 2024
This money can be used for college fees, computers, books, and other study materials. After being selected, students will receive the scholarship money directly into their bank account every year. To continue receiving the scholarship in the following years, students must submit their passing certificate, mark sheet, and a letter from the Head of the Institution on the National Scholarship Portal.
Saksham Scholarship Eligibility
Student should be in the first year of a diploma course or the second year through lateral entry at an AICTE-approved school. The student must have a disability of at least 40%. The family income should not be more than ₹8 lakh per year. A valid income certificate from the State/UT Government must be included.
Saksham Scholarship Application Process
Step 1:
- Prepare soft copies of the required documents.
- Visit https://www.scholarships.gov.in/ and click “New Registration”.
- Guidelines for Registration will appear. Scroll to the bottom.
- Read the undertaking carefully, accept the terms, and click “Continue”.
Step 2:
- A Registration Form will appear. (Fields marked with * are mandatory)
- Fill in the details and click “Register”.
- Your Application ID and password will be displayed.
- These will also be sent as an SMS to your registered mobile number.
Step 3:
- Go to https://scholarships.gov.in/fresh/newstdRegfrmInstruction.
- Click “Login to Apply”. Enter your Application ID and password.
- Type the Captcha and click “Login”.
- On the next screen, enter the OTP received on your registered mobile number. You will be taken to the Password Reset screen.
- Create and confirm a new password.
- Click “Submit”. You will be taken to the “Applicant’s Dashboard”.
STEP 4:
- On the left pane, click “Application Form”. (Fields marked with * are mandatory)
- Fill in the details and upload the documents.
- You can either click “Save as Draft” to complete the application later.
- Or click “Final Submit” to submit the application.

Procedure for Renewal of Scholarship under SAKSHAM Scheme
Q: How do I renew the scholarship under the SAKSHAM Scheme? A: The scholarship will be renewed for the next year of study through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) by submitting a Promotion Certificate, duly certified by the Head of the Institution, on the online portal.
